Happy Birthday Xanderman!!

Well the day has come and my little man is officially 2 years old!! WOW!! Where does the time go?! I had "big" plans for today, a special little outing complete with ice cream just for X-man and his big sister, however, the day had other things in mind for us... and what a day it has been!! Here's how we rolled...

Alora's been battling a cold so, off to the Dr. we went, 3 infections...respiratory, ear and eye but 1 antibiotic, a plus! Then to Wally world for the perscription and a few "shut in by the storm" supplies. By this time I've decided to improvise the outing a little and they were both content with lunch at McD's while we were waiting then special ice cream later... well little did we all know but within minutes of ordering our lunch we were again headed right back to the Dr... for some stitches!! That's right folks, Alora was being sooo helpful and went to pick the "perfect spot" for brothers b-day lunch and while climbing into the booth slipped fell and busted open her chin. Now this was not THAT bad and we made it out into the van without much fanfare...fast forward to the dr.s office when he tells me that they can do the stitches there, with no anesthisia, only numbing or we could go to Tulsa to St. Francis and they "might" put her out for it... what a choice. Well, I opted for staying there and lets just say the next 30 minutes were AWFUL~ but all is well now and 3 stitches later she's on the mend. She was a trooper and little birthday brother was a great helper... he was really worried about her and kept hugging on her and leaning in to say "awight Lola, awight" and rubbing her back, it was super sweet!!

So even though it didn't go *quite* like I planned we made the best of it, Daddy made birthday smoothies for dessert too, YUMMY!!! Happy Birthday Xanderman, we love you bunches!!

I wanted to take a pic of him loving on her at the Dr.s office but decided she'd been thru enough already and she REALLY didn't want her pic taken... after a loooooong nap post op, she changed her mind tho and posed with "birthday boy" which is the only way she referred to him all day! CUTE, CUTE, CUTE!!

Nanna and Pappa stopped by later on to visit and survey the damage... their visit seemed to help the pain go away a little too so THANKS NANNA & PAPPA!!
