He left Monday a.m. while we were gone to dr.s appts, but when we got home I found this on the fridge... hmmmmm...
So Tuesday it is and after nap I got the camera ready and called her in to see what awaited us in the envelope...
WHOOO HOOOO!! It's a treasure map, which she happens to be obsessed with right now, and a letter with clue's that lead to other clues that lead to Daddy's hidden treasure :0) So we're off to find us some loot!
The last one said that the clue could be found in "Daddy and Alora's favorite story..." she needed NO prompting whatsoever and screamed "The Briar Patch!!"
And there she found the treasure!!! Along with some instructions from the "captain" to use the goods for movie nights and snackin' while Daddy is away :0)
So off we went...
and returned for an evening of Backyardigans and Twizzlers (her "movie food" which Berkley and Baylor were hoping would be shared with them, lol!) What a FUN surprise!!!
She's so into treasures and maps right now and I love that he thought of doing this for her, she had a BLAST running all through the house looking and "diggin." But the best part was hearing her tell everyone at the store that her Daddy left her a TREASURE because he loved her SOOOOO MUCH, and imagine it being said with all her spunky sass and excitement... yeah, it was hilariously adorable and priceless!!! WE LOVE YOU TOO HONEY...SOOOOOO MUCH!!...And later this week we're having a slumber party in the living room. Complete with sleeping bags, more movies, makeups, and popcorn... she's beside herself excited!!! I Love It!!!

Now that is a good surprise! Making memories is what it's all about. Hope he also left you something fun! If he didn't, there's an old saying, "When the cat's away the mouse will spend money!"
that is such a good idea =) Cayden had to call jay yesterday and tell him he beat call of Duty 4..apparently its not enough to just tell me =) anyhoo.. have fun at the slumber party!!
That is so cute! What a neat idea! You know I was looking on Ashlee's blog and laughing at the pic of Kevin and Jason at Disney World. The outfits?!!! Anyway, with all that fun Kevin might have to go away more often!;)
